2010 Soccer Academy

When are tryouts? THERE ARE NO TRYOUTS FOR THE SPRING SEASON. There will be a "Play Date" (or "Meet and Greet") for players interested in the Spring Academy on both February 28th and March 7 from 2-4:00pm at Hall Middle School in Larkspur. The Spring Academy is open to ALL interested boys and girls with birth dates thatfall between August 1, 2000 and July 31, 2002. There will be a limit of 35 players per gender. Enrollment will be filled on a First Come, First Served basis.

When are the Practices/Training Sessions? Practices will start the week of March 15 and proceed with girls trainings each Monday and Wednesday, and boys trainings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Trainings will last through May (field permitting). The location will be dteremined based on availability and coordination with San Rafael Youth Soccer Club (SRYSC) and Ross Valley Soccer Club (RVSC). There will be an additional 6-7 Sunday "Play Dates" that will be arranged so as not to interfere with SRYSC spring league games. Play Dates consist of small-sided games which offer players many opportunities to touch the ball. No practices will take place during the April Spring Break.

We will also offer an Academy in the Fall for those who wish to continue their development. Tryouts will be held for the Fall Season will take place in late May or early June. More information will be posted about the Fall Academy later in the year.

Who are the coaches? The coaching staff will consist of some of the BEST youth coaches in California. Brandon Murphy will head up training for the girls academy, and Phil Bellici-Gard will heading the boys academy training. These coaches have been selected based on their ability to interact and energize young players.

How much does the Academy cost?
The total cost of this fun, 54 hour training program, including 6-7 Play Dates is $265.
